Although many will be disappointed when "Heading to the Ground" ends next month, it looks like MBC is continuing its idol line-up - though TVXQ's Yunho will be exiting the big screen, the new drama "Hero" is set to feature the ladies of KARA in its first episode!

As reported earlier, it was announced on the 9th that this quintet of cuties would make a cameo in the first episode as the stars of a mini-concert at which the leads of the drama, Lee Junki (a reporter) and Kim Min Jung (a police detective), will first meet.

“It’s an honor for us to start off this drama together with Lee Junki and Kim Min-jung, who are actors we have always liked," the members of KARA expressed. "We’re already excited just thinking about filming, and are really looking forward to it. It feels exciting to be able to show a different side of KARA in the drama.”

With names like Lee Junki, Kim Min Jung and now KARA, this is shaping up to be a solid & highly anticipated drama. Indeed, "Hero" was licensed for a Japanese broadcast nearly a year ago, way before its license for Korea. As one source explained on Friday, such licensing is not finalized until 2-4 episodes have aired due to economic considerations and other factors. “However, in Hero’s case, recognition of the solid synopsis and lead actor Lee Junki has led to an unusual circumstance of an early sale at a high price.”

Keep an eye out for the first broadcast of "Hero" on November 18 on MBC.

MBC 'Hero' Supporters 1 out of 30 Selection, Will It Be A Hit? [2009.10.13]

MBC new Wed-Thur Drama 'Hero' (as of now, script written by Pak Ji Suk, director is Kim Gyeong Hi) which planned to be on air by November has conducted an online selection of 'Hero Supporters'.

The supporters will be selecting 10 from Korea and 2 from overseas which is from China and Taiwan.

There are total 341 people applied for the selection which lasted since September 30th to October 11th, this is a tight fight of 1 out of 30. And the supporters who were selected which will be announced on October 13th will be invited to the drama shooting scene and sites of official activities, to be the supporters for the promotion of the drama.

Although there are similar cases which utilises UCC netizens to promotem, but conducting the selection in such an official way and received so much attention is first time ever.

'Hero' is about a modern hero who fights for the weak. Lee Jun Ki, Kim Min Jeong, Pae Gyun Sik, Eom Gi Jun, Sin Ju A, Lee Ha Nwi, Jeong Seo Gyong, Jeong Su Yeong and the rest will be casting in this cheerful and funny story.

Lee Jun Ki who has performed well and received good comments in drama 'Time Between Dog and Wolf', 'Iljimae' will be casting for small time newspaper reporter, Jin Doh Yeok, in following of his high popularity. Kim Min Jeong will be casting as a 'passionate' policewoman and will challenge action scenes. Both of them has individually hit high drama ratings of 'Iljimae' which is 31% (TNS Media Korea nationwide), and 'New Heart' which is 33.6%, hence heating up the anticipation.

'Hero' will be aired after the current MBC drama "Heading to the Ground" on November.

KJE’s Chocolate Encore Special to Broadcast Undisclosed Stages of TVXQ-Big Bang-Lee Jun Gi [2009.10.16]

SBS show Kim Jung Eun’s Chocolate will be airing TVXQ, Big Bang, and actor Lee Junki’s undisclosed performances on the show.

KJE’s Chocolate episode on next October 17th is scheduled to have “encore special”, showing to public the passionate encore performances that initially were only experienced by the audiences in studio that day.

There were around 1000+ audiences who came together with the singers that time, however due to the time constraints, the performances were not able to be broadcast. Therefore, through this “encore special” episode, all those cut scenes will finally be shown.

Planning to be on aired by November 11th, MBC new drama 'Hero' has published the casting outlook for the 5 leading cast consist of Lee Jun Ki, Kim Min Jung, Paek Yoon Shik, Eom Gi Jun and Shin Ju Ah.
